Dark Determination

An endgame power-up that pushes your character beyond normal limits.

NPC Location
Talk to the Determination NPC at Bus Stop #14 — located behind the bus stop near a boulder. Look for the question mark icon above the NPC.

Quest Chain

Complete all 7 quests in order to unlock Dark Determination. Each quest tests a different aspect of your skill and resolve.

  1. 1.
    "What is Selflessness?" — Defeat Yoshikage Kira Bites the Dust using the Bloodlust perk.
  2. 2.
    "What is Reticence?" — Win a 1v1 while staying above 90% health.
  3. 3.
    "What is Piety?" — Win a Gang War.
  4. 4.
    "What is Faith?" — Beat The Self with 5% or less HP remaining.
  5. 5.
    "What is Hate?" — Grip 5 of your own Gang Members.
  6. 6.
    "What is Purity?" — Win 3 consecutive Gamemode 1v1s.
  7. 7.
    "What is Repose?" — Kill 10 players who are Level 40 or higher.
Activation Condition
Dark Determination has a cutscene and can only be activated when your HP drops below 60%. Use it strategically as a comeback mechanic in tough fights.

Base Effect

While active, Dark Determination passively buffs the user. Once it runs out, several debuffs are applied. Upgrade tiers to increase its power and eventually remove the debuffs entirely.

Each tier costs 4 Prestige Shards to unlock, for a total of 20 shards across all 5 tiers.

Tips

  • •Get the Bloodlust perk first — available from the Prestige Shop for 5 Prestige Shards. Required for Quest 1.
  • •Join a Gang early — Quests 3 ("Piety") and 5 ("Hate") both require Gang membership.
  • •Total cost: 20 Prestige Shards for all 5 tier upgrades (4 shards per tier).
  • •Quest 4 ("Faith") requires finishing The Self at 5% HP or less — whittle your own health down carefully before landing the final hit.
  • •Tier 5 is the most impactful upgrade — extending duration to 20 seconds and removing all debuffs on activation makes it a strong PvP reset tool.
